This Cookie Policy explains how Scypion Finance (“Scypion Finance,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website (the “Site”), and the choices you have. It works alongside our Privacy Policy. Effective June 19, 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device so it can recognize you between visits. Sites also have a quieter option called local storage: data that stays in your browser and is never transmitted back to a server. Wherever possible, we use that instead.
The kinds of storage we use
- Strictly necessary. A small amount of storage needed for the Site to work, such as remembering security and basic session state. These cannot be switched off without breaking the Site, and they are not used to track you.
- Preferences (local storage, not cookies).Your light or dark theme choice and your reading progress (which articles you have opened, so the “continue reading” rail can pick up where you left off) are kept in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them completely.
- Analytics. Where we run analytics tools, they may set cookies or read device-level identifiers to help us understand, in aggregate, which articles are useful and where the Site is confusing. We use this to improve the writing, not to build a profile of you.
- Performance (cookieless). Our hosting and performance tools may collect anonymous page-speed metrics without setting any cookies.
First-party and third-party cookies
Cookies set by the Site itself are “first-party.” Some of the analytics and performance tools we rely on are run by third-party providers, and those may set their own “third-party” cookies, governed by that provider’s own policies. We keep the number of such tools small and choose providers that handle data responsibly.
How long they last
Cookies are either “session” cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or “persistent” cookies, which remain for a set period or until you delete them. Analytics cookies are typically persistent so returning visits can be counted in aggregate. Local-storage preferences remain until you clear your browser data.
We do not use advertising cookies
We do not run third-party advertising networks, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites or to sell or share your information for advertising.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to a browser “Do Not Track” signal, we do not change our behavior in response to it. Where your browser sends a recognized Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request consistent with our Privacy Policy.
Your consent and control
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time, and most browsers let you refuse cookies or warn you before one is set. Blocking analytics cookies will not break anything; clearing local storage simply resets your theme and reading progress. Where the law requires your consent for non-essential cookies, we will ask for it before those cookies are set, and you can withdraw it at any time. For more on the data we hold, see our Privacy Policy, or contact us with any questions.
